Hello Friends!
We have made the difficult decision to cancel STITCHES West 2021. With COVID-19 infections on the rise, travel uncertainty and safety concerns are at the forefront of our minds.
We held out hope that this show could happen, but above all else, our highest priority must be the health and safety of everyone—the students, market attendees, exhibitors, sponsors, instructors, and staff must be. We are very sad that we will not be in Santa Clara.
We have been working on new and exciting ways for people all over the country—and the world—to have a STITCHES experience. In September and October, we hosted STITCHES at Home virtual retreats and, earlier this month, STITCHES Expo at Home with three full days of classes, a virtual Market, and special presentations. The next STITCHES Expo at Home will be February 5-7; watch for details on the main page of STITCHES.events.
We look forward to 2022, when STITCHES West will move to our new location in Sacramento, California, March 3-6. We are excited to explore downtown Sacramento and the newly remodeled Sacramento Convention Center!
Thank you again for your patience, support, and trust. We hope to see you soon!
All my best.

I am really disapointed you guys had to cancel but I DO understand-untill everyone is vaccanated this corona stuff isn’t safe! Will you ever have in in santa clara again?(sacramento is a little to far to travel for me =(
Hello Deborah! Thank you for your comment. We don’t have plans to go to Santa Clara at this point. But who knows what the future might bring. Again… thank you.
Sure wish you would consider returning to the Philadelphia area.
Hello Cindy! Right now optioning new venues is not something that we can consider. But… we never say never. Thank you for commenting.
sacramento is too far, and a terrible place to drive in – please reconsider santa clara or san jose for the future
Hello Virginia! Santa Clara has proven to be difficult. Again… I never say never… but things would have to change a great deal with the city before we could look at them for a future event. Thank you for commenting.
In response to Deborah’s comment about traveling to Sacramento – I am sure by then someone will put together a group (Formally or informally) of knitters to travel together on the Amtrak to Sacramento. Knit and chat together both ways! Keep your ears open. Cheers!
Hi Carol! That is one of the things we are working on. Thank you for commenting.
Amtrak to/from the Bay Area would work!!! Especially if Stitches can also arrange a shuttle to/from Amtrak and the venue in Sac’to? 🙂
Sacramento DOES work for me. Looking forward to 2022, fingers crossed.
Very sad Sacramento is out of the question for me. My husband has Parkinson’s and I could justify a couple of hours away from home. It was the one thing in my year that I did just for me. My mini retreat!
Will you send me information when you can about when by you are in my area. And that is the San Francisco, San Jose and Sacramento Area’s.
Hurray for Sacramento 2022!
Is pasadena still happening in November 2021?
