You can download a copy of the Stitches SoCal 2022 Show Book PDF here. You can download a PDF copy of the Stitches SoCal 2022 Market floor map here. And since every exhibitor at this show has their own online show book page, you’ll want to check out those listings here.
The Playground is the heart of the Stitches Market! It’s a place to feel the pulse of what we consider our passion. And the red carpet is no accident; red is a sign of our love of crafting.
In a space that encourages Inspiration, Exploration, and Demonstration, The Playground plays host to artisans and crafters willing to share their work, skills, and advice.
Most of all, The Playground is a place to let the crafty child within you dream, experience…and yes, play!
During the Market, we will have lots of cool stuff happening in The Playground! Today we have some great programs…
We also have some wonderful in-booth demos scheduled for today…
Today at 1:00 pm PST, there is the LGBTQ+ Meetup in Ballroom B in the Pasadena Convention Center. This a casual gathering of LGBTQ+ fiber artists. Sit and stitch, show off your marketplace finds, and make some new friends! No pre-registration is required, but please respect that this meetup is for LGBTQ+ members of the fiber community only.
This meetup is hosted by yelley (they/them), a knitter, crocheter, spinner, and maker in the San Francisco Bay Area, working to promote diversity and inclusiveness in the fiber arts world. Their goal is to create safer and more accessible spaces for marginalized folx (BIPOC, LGBTQ+, Neurodivergent, Disabled, all kinds of marginalized folx!) through representation, visibility, and community building events.
They live in Alameda, California, with one of their partners, their very spoiled dogs, and a ridiculously large stash of purple and rainbow yarn. Find them on Ravelry and Instagram @yelleyknits.
Here is a quick recap of some of the things that happened yesterday…
We had a lot of classes yesterday. And you can tell that people are having a good time. Here are a few quick pix from some of the classrooms yesterday.
We had more happy Market goers on Saturday at Stitches SoCal 2022 Market. Below are just a few pictures from the Market on Saturday.
Last night we had the ever-popular Stitches Makers’ Showcase! This is a showcase of what you sew, knit, crochet, weave, and wear. It was an amazing event full of laughter and inspiration.
Here are just a few images from the event…
Kellie Nuss posted all the images from the Stitches Makers’ Showcase on our Facebook page. Please check those out.
Even though the Stitches SoCal 2022 Fashion Show happened Friday night… I wanted to share this short video with you.
Kellie Nuss also posted all these professional-looking images from the Fashion Show on our Facebook page. Please check those out.
If you are looking for a guide to the local restaurants, you can download a useful PDF created by the city called Food on Foot; A Guide to Walkable Dining Locations Near the Pasadena Convention Center here.
And because I’m very interested (and some of you might be), here is what Rick Mondragon will be wearing today.
Sunday, Rick will be wearing Donald J Pliner pont loafers, a Noro Vest over a white button-down shirt, and Buffalo Jeans.
Here are today’s Market Highlights…
That’s it for now. Please check us out on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. The hashtags we’ve seen used so far are #stitchessocal and #stitchessocal22.
I hope you had an amazing, memory-filled weekend! And I hope we see you back here next year for Stitches SoCal 2023!
All my best.
