Stitches West is Moving to Sacramento, CA in 2022!

Hello STITCHES Fans!
It is with a bit of sadness and a lot of excitement that we announce that STITCHES West will move to Sacramento, CA in 2022. We have contracted with the Sacramento Convention Center as well as the Hyatt Regency and the Sheraton—both across the street from the venue.
Our most important reason for moving is the ability to expand the show. With more hotel rooms and a larger convention center, we can have more classes and exhibit space. We can add sewing, quilting, and other classes to the STITCHES West roster and more fabric, fiber, and yarn crafts in the Market. And as a bonus…there are over a dozen restaurants within a three-block radius of the host hotels and convention center!
We have had such a wonderful experience and history in the Bay Area—starting in Burlingame, moving to Oakland for a few years, and finally settling in Santa Clara for over a decade. Now the show has outgrown the Santa Clara Convention Center, and we need to look to the future.
We had hoped that with the new sports arena, there would be additional hotels and restaurants built nearby. Not only did that not happen, but scheduled events at the stadium during the STITCHES West weekend have had an adverse effect on traffic and parking.
Beyond all of this—the City of Sacramento has demonstrated a sincere desire to be our partner so that we can continue to host the best show possible.
