Have you ever looked at a crocheted shawl and wondered how in the world to make it? Or looked at a crochet stitch and thought it would make a great shawl but you hadn’t the foggiest clue where to put the increases? Thamo will help you get acquainted with a variety of different crochet shawl shapes and practice then with small samples.
Class sessions will be recorded and remain accessible online to registered students of the class for 14 days following the event.

Description
We’ll work through the basic recipes for a variety of crocheted shawl shapes — build triangles, practice curves, and get adventurous with the center-out design. With the basic recipes, you’ll gain a deeper understanding and confidence for tackling your favorite patterns and have the basic elements to make custom shawls that are 100% you!
Special skills or knowledge needed to take this class:
Basic crochet stitches needed: chain stitch, slip stitch, single crochet
Supply List
• Yarn in your desired weight to practice with (ideally DK-weight , but really any will work!)
• A crochet hook that will give a loose gauge with your chosen yarn
• Crochet Basics: Sharp scissors, Notebook, Pen or pencil with eraser, Stitch markers, Tapestry needles (large and small), Tape measure, Small calculator, Crochet hooks of various sizes
No pre-class work required.
