Adding Increases and decreases to your basic double-knitting skills will open up a whole new world of patterns. You’ll be ready to make hats, mittens, and even shawls in double knit.
We will begin with a quick refresher on the basics of double knitting then move on to techniques for working increases and decreases in double-knit fabric.
Special skills or knowledge needed to take this class:
Students should have some experience with double knitting.
• Set of US 7 (4.5mm) needles
• 2 colors worsted-weight yarn; high contrasting colors will make it easier to work
• Knitting Basics: Sharp scissors, Notebook, Pen or pencil with eraser, Stitch markers,
Tape measure, Small calculator
No pre-class work required.
