Description

Every designer and instructor you’ve ever met has told you NOT to take your own measurements. But what are we to do when social distancing and isolation are the norm?

REBEL! And learn how to take measurements on our own, accurately.

You’ll walk away knowing how to put together a “solo measuring” toolkit, learn how to take your own body measurements, suitable for knitting garments, and understand which measurements are key to great garment fit.

Supply List
• Measuring tape (I prefer wide ones with big numbers for this)
• Measurement chart & pencil
• Safety pins and/or masking tape (washi tape or highlighter tape works too!)
• Large paper clips and/or binder clips
• A piece of blank paper
• String, twine, or twill tape (enough to go around your waist, hips, and bust) ***NOT yarn. Needs to be stable with NO STRETCH
• A ruler (18” or more is ideal); sewing/quilting ruler makes an excellent tool; a carpenter’s square is also a great choice

No pre-class work required.
