Make beautiful fabric-covered buttons adding your favorite embroidery stitches. Catherine will provide a variety of ideas suitable for your buttons or design your own. It’s time to add a personal signature to a project with your own hand-wrought buttons.
Class sessions will be recorded and remain accessible online to registered students of the class for 4 weeks following the event.

Description
Hand embroidery adds unique detailing to any project, and buttons just up the game! Catherine will inspire you to play circle games with the stitches you already know.
Work on wool fabric or cotton if you prefer and finish with a purchased form and a few simple steps. Lovely to add to a garment, a bag, a pillow, the choice is yours!
Special skills or knowledge needed to take this workshop:
Basic embroidery knowledge.
Supply List
• Dritz Cover Button kit eg #14-60 for 1-1/2″ finished buttons (other sizes are available and can be substituted.)
• 3″ square of fabric for each button (felted wool, linen, quilters cotton)
• Embroidery threads
• #24 chenille needle
• #1 milliners needle
