Description
Does bias tape make you break into cold sweat? Discover what you need for success and how to easily apply it to your sewing projects. In this class students will learn how to make their own bias tape and use it as a contrasting edging on a pair of pockets.
Special skills or knowledge needed to take this class
While this is beginning sewing class, some previous experience using a sewing machine is necessary.
Supply List
• 2-3 fat quarters and 0.5 yard of fabric for bias tape, mid-weight cotton, such as quilting cotton or lightweight cotton lawn
• Matching thread
• Sewing Basics: Needles, Thread, Sharp scissors, Notebook, Pen or pencil with eraser, Tape measure, Seam ripper, Pins
Required equipment
• Sewing machine. Bring your own OR a limited number are available to rent from Sonya for in-class use for $10. You must reserve the machine in advance. Follow the link in the order receipt to reserve your machine.
