One-color cable patterns against a different background color, different color cable strands meandering all over and among each other, striped cables, and bi-color rope cables are some of the combinations we’ll cover. You will be amazed at how the same cable pattern can produce very different visual experiences by changing which stitch columns receive a color accent. And discover the fun of experimenting with color placement as you learn how to convert a cable chart into a color cable chart using graph paper and/or a charting program.

Special skills or knowledge needed to take this class
Participants should be able to accomplish long-tail cast-on; work basic stitches such as knit, purl, K2tog, SSK, yo; know how to do a simple rope cable and read knitting charts with cable symbols.

Very good

Learned new tricks. Got to work ahead when others were slower. Instructor was great about answering questions and working w varying skill levels. Definitely worth it!
People working colorwork the first time struggled; that wasn't listed as a required skill set but cabling was.

Great class!

Lots of great info in this class. Great teacher. The presentation was fantastic and I learned a lot. Most of class time was watching the presentation but I don’t think it could be cut down much without losing needed material. I wish the class was longer than 3 hours though so there was more time for knitting to practice while Harry was there to help. I am excited to try these techniques and would even consider taking the class again once I have a bit more experience just to really sharpen my skills. Harry has a lot of knowledge to share. I highly recommend this class.
