Tapestry is a wonderfully creative medium requiring little in the way of overhead to get started. Besides being an outlet for creativity, tapestry weaving also uses up odd bits of yarn!

Description
Learn how to warp a simple frame loom. Discover the importance of tension and edge control and become familiar with the terminology of weaving tapestry. Beginning with how to separate the warp threads, we will cover techniques such as simple horizontal stripes, vertical stripes and spots, blocks of color, curves, and diagonals. We will also discuss warp and weft choices, sett, materials sources, and finishing methods.
A $30 kit is required and will be collected during class.
Kit will include Stretcher bars for making frame loom, warp yarn, weft yarn, weaving needles, shed sticks (craft sticks), and beater (hair pick).
