Dive a little deeper into the wonderful world of Tapestry Weaving! With these extra techniques, you’ll be on your way to designing your own creations!
Tapestry 201 covers some of the techniques introduced in Tapestry 101 in more depth along with new techniques and methods such as headers, hatching, joins, and outlining.
You will create a small sampler of the techniques shown in the photos.
Special skills or knowledge needed to take this class
Must have basic weaving knowledge and skills or have taken Tapestry 101 or Warping a Frame Loom
• 2 colors of a firm worsted-weight yarn, such as Brown Sheep Lamb’s Pride or Lanaloft. Firm yarns are best for tapestry weaving, but softer can be used.
• Small amount of sport-weight yarn.
• Tape measure,
• Tapestry needle
• Shed stick
• Long tapestry needle
• Tapestry loom warped at 8EPI
• Tapestry beater (plastic hair pick will do)
