Students will explore the exciting structure of crepe and cable yarns. We will start with traditional spin and ply structures, then mix and match different ways to ply to create various samples with their own textures.

Description
Are you ready to go beyond the 2ply? Want to add interest and dimension to your yarn, or are you looking for a great way to bust through your stash? This is a great class for all sorts of spinners- from ultra textured art yarn spinners, to the most traditional laceweight spinners!! In this class students will explore the exciting structure of crepe and cable yarns. Students will first spin and ply the traditional structures, then will create various samples by mixing and matching the different ways to ply to create their own textures.
Special skills or knowledge needed to take this class
Students should be able to spin and ply comfortably on a wheel
An optional $30 materials fee will be collected by your instructor during class. Correct change is appreciated.
The Optional Materials include 6oz hand-dyed top and plying yarn.
