Join Jill and learn the skills needed to make two-color Double Knit projects both flat and in the round. You will start simply with the rules, and finish with the techniques necessary to complete the hat pattern from class. When you are coached along the way, it’s fun and easy!
Class sessions will be recorded and remain accessible online to registered students of the class for 4 weeks following the event.
Session 1: Learn the basic techniques of Double Knitting on a flat swatch and learn how to read double-knitting charts.
Session 2: Make sure the basics are solid and review anything that is not. Learn how to bind off in color on the swatch. Learn a 2-color cast-on. Discuss the differences of working Double Knitting in-the-round. Start on hat with pattern that is provided.
Session 3: Learn to increase and decrease in Double Knitting. Jill will also show how to correct mistakes.
