Description
Ramalakshmi will guide you through the construction of a small Crochet Sling bag using 2 solid granny squares AND a Crochet Tote bag using 6 squares. Her tips and tricks for making crochet bags include: working an oval base, building up the body of the bag to desired dimensions, crocheting in the round for stable construction, and making sturdy straps and built-in handles.
She will also share options to make other bag styles. Imagine the possibilities when you add the array of yarns and endless colors available today.
Special skills or knowledge needed to take this workshop:
Must know basic crochet stitches.
Supply List
• DK-weight yarn to make the projects, 800 yards
• Crochet Basics: Sharp scissors, Notebook, Pen or pencil with eraser, Stitch markers, Tapestry needles (large and small), Tape measure,
Small calculator, Crochet hooks of various sizes
Moderate pre-class work required.
