You will walk away from this workshop with with a plan, resources, and ideas for making clothing you love! Garments that fit you and your lifestyle well. Kim explains the most crucial measurements and why they are important in fit.
Learn how to accurately take solo measurements, how patterns truly work, and how to bend and hack them to work better for you. Kim will instruct you on how to create fit tools and build modification resources that support those hacks.
Kim describes the Fit Genius workshop as “essentially the demon love child of my Boob Camp and Modifications classes, but with a little sewing and style stuffed in there.”

Special skills or knowledge needed to take this class
– have experience in knitting/crocheting sweaters or sewing garments
– confidence in how garments are constructed
– working knowledge of how to read a pattern (either knitting, crochet or sewing)
__Measuring tape long enough to measure your bust and hips
__Roll of painter’s tape or masking tape + small dot stickers (any colour) – large paper clip
__Ruler (minimum 18″. A clear quilting ruler works best for me) – optional: carpenter’s square (right angle ruler)
__Approximately 2 yds of polar fleece for sweater mock-up exercise (if you need to purchase this, please buy the cheapest you can find)
__Safety pins and duct tape
__1 sheet of acetate (minimum 12 x12) for making a fit ruler
__Knitting Basics: Sharp scissors, Notebook, Pen or pencil with eraser, Stitch markers, Tapestry needles (large and small), Tape measure, Small calculator, Needles and crochet hooks of various sizes
