Description
This 4-session workshop provides time to understand and apply Kim’s process for achieving sweaters that fit — at both shoulders and chests.
Learn how to choose a size and how to plan and construct bust darts for YOUR body. We will use examples that are based on a set-in-sleeved sweater, worked in pieces, to make the process easy-to-understand. Bring yarn and needles; you will knit a quarter-size sample of what YOUR darts will look like in a real sweater.
Topics covered in this class:
– how to measure yourself accurately for bust-shaping
– creating a map for YOUR darts, vertical and horizontal, so that you can apply them to any sweater
– what to do when darts aren’t practical (alternate bust-shaping)
– what to do with extra stitches so that the upper body of your sweater also fits well
This hands-on learning experience gives you choices for modifying any sweater pattern — and that can be life-changing!
Special skills or knowledge needed to take this workshop:
Must understand how a basic sweater is constructed.
