Description

Have you ever made a warp you loved but were disappointed when you finished weaving it?

Weavers have a unique challenge when it comes to color. Because of the optical blending caused by the interaction of the warp and weft, you have to consider how the weft colors will interact with the warp colors when you are planning a project or deciding on the weft color(s).

In this class, you will learn to apply basic color theory to woven fabric as you try out various color combinations on your loom. Come play with colors!
.
Both, rigid heddle weavers and shaft loom weavers are welcome!

Making colors work for you

This is an amazing class for learning how colors play in weaving. The directed color play gave hands on experience translating color theory into weaving. Pixilation and optical blending were explained and followed with hands on experience.
