June 18, 2:00-4:00pm CDT
June 19, 2:00-4:00pm CDT
Build the skills, techniques, and tricks essential to Entrelac success. Included will be lots of ssk and p2tog decreases, some kfb and pfb increases, plenty of picked-up stitches (both knitwise and purlwise), and, if you’re game, the valuable treasure of knitting backward is also yours!
Class sessions will be recorded and remain accessible online to registered students of the class for 14 days following the event.
We’ll begin by reviewing the basics to make sure you have all the right-leaning and left-leaning triangles and squares solidly in your Entrelac tool belt, and vocabulary. Then you’ll learn different ways to start Entrelac pieces and we’ll discuss which beginnings you might pair with various projects. Working swatches both flat and in-the-round helps you gain an understanding of what might need to be done differently depending on which road you plan to take.
Building on these skills, you’ll be introduced to techniques that are specific to using Entrelac in projects: increases and decreases, neck and armhole shaping, and clean color changes. By the end of class, you will be well-equipped to continue with your Entrelac journey.
