Make a simple quilt and learn all the tricks of the trade as Catherine leads you through the basics, step-by-step. You’ll have a successful pieced and machine-quilted piece in no time. It’s easy!
Class sessions will be recorded and remain accessible online to registered students of the class for 7 days following the event.
It’s time to make a quilt on your own domestic sewing machine. No previous quilting experience required!
Join Catherine for this three-part workshop. We’ll start at the beginning and take it step-by-step as you work on your project chosen from the specially designed pattern — a placemat or two for those with limited time for homework, up to a sofa throw for those with more stitching time.
Benefit from Catherine’s almost-25 years of experience. Learn how to use quilting tools safely. Measure, cut, and piece blocks with accurate 1/4″ seams. And pressing matters… find out why! Add simple machine quilting and a binding. You’ll end the class with a finished project and lots of new skills—all ready to stitch your next creation!
Special skills or knowledge needed to take this workshop:
Make sure you know how to thread your sewing machine and keep the instruction manual handy!
Fabrics are for one table runner or two placemats. If you have bigger plans, please contact Catherine at firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange a pre-class chat!
