It’s All About Me: Develop a Capsule Wardrobe
With Susan Lazear
May 16, 2:00-4:00 & 5:00-7:00 CDT;
May 23, 2:00-4:00 CDT
Susan will show you how to build a capsule wardrobe from just 9 pieces (some you own, some you will plan to make or buy), but first she will help you perform a self-analysis of your body and facial shape to determine what styles work best for you.
Class sessions will be recorded and remain accessible online to registered students of the class for 7 days following the event.
Do you have clothes you love but don’t wear? Are you tired of making sweaters or garments that don’t work for you? This workshop gives you tools that may help you avoid those disappoin
tments and give you confidence in your choices.
First, Susan walks you through a self-analysis to help you take a fresh look at your body proportions and facial shape. Then, she will show you how to use line and design to play up some features and play down others. The goal is to help you make choices in your garments’ proportions and styles that make you feel good every time you wear them.
Finally, we will work through an exercise to develop your capsule wardrobe. You’ll choose a few items from your existing closet, plan for a few purchases and one (or two) projects to sew, knit, or crochet. The result is a 9-piece capsule wardrobe that suits your lifestyle, reflects your choices, and makes you shine.
