With Harry Wells
Nov 6 1:00-3:10pm CST
This hat workshop teaches intarsia technique, specifically Argyle; a flat seaming technique; and the mathematics for calculating Argyle diamonds for different gauges.
Love those classic diamond shapes called Argyle, but mystified about how to accomplish them? You will learn the classic technique, with tips and tricks, of knitting Argyle flat, along with a seaming method that makes the seam nearly invisible and not bulky. Each stage of the construction of this Argyle hat will be covered, along with how to calculate your own Argyle diamond patterns for different gauges.
Special skills or knowledge needed to take this class:
Participants should be able to accomplish long tail cast-on and basic stitches (K, P, SSK, K2tog). Working from a chart will be helpful, but a quick overview of that skill will be covered in class as well.
