Building Blocks of Entrelac
With Sarah Peasley
Nov 8 1-3:10pm CST
Take some tilty squares and triangles, add a fancy French name, and you get a totally addicting stitch pattern!
Whether they lean to the left or lean to the right, this class will cover all of the building block rules you need to make any entrelac pattern: rectangles, base triangles, side triangles, and top triangles. Additional skills taught include picking up stitches both knitwise and purlwise, and as a totally optional (but super helpful) bonus, you can practice knitting backward. Your new Entrelac skills can be practiced using the directions for the class swatch (worked in DK or Worsted-weight yarn, please). Choose a hank (or two, or more) of beautiful hand-dyed yarn and you are on the way to a visually exciting and oh-so-cozy wrap for yourself or for someone else!
Special skills or knowledge needed to take this class:
Student must be comfortable with knitting and purling, with ssk and p2tog decreases, and with kfb and pfb increases.
