Nov 8 10:00am-12:10pm CST
Get a head start on the mini-scarf with frill, a practice project in the Japanese Knitting Stitch Bible. It includes many of Hitomi Shida’s signature techniques.
Knitters who love beautiful stitch patterns are delighted with the Japanese Knitting Stitch Bible: 260 Exquisite Designs by Hitomi Shida, now published in English. This class focuses on the scarf that’s one of the book’s introductory projects. We’ll start the body of the scarf with a provisional cast-on, then continue to practice chart-reading and some of the more complex maneuvers, to ensure that you’ll be able to complete the scarf on your own. You’ll gain experience and insight into the complex charts and symbols in the book. The pattern will be provided; no need to purchase the book ahead of time.
Special skills or knowledge needed to take this class:
MUST be comfortable knitting from charts.
