From knitting vertical stripes to stepping a pattern across the knitting, learn to join yarns and manage colors as you knit.
Simple Intarsia: Jane loves working in color: from simple vertical stripes worked from a diagram to interpreting the graphs into colors on your needles. The Simple Intarsia class includes knitting two swatches, the first by working from a diagram starting with joining colors and working vertical stripes. Learn to manage yarns and avoid tangles; remember, it is often easier to learn to manage color on straight needles before trying it with circular needles.
The second swatch starts with casting-on in sections of three colors, ribbing in the three blocks of color, allowing vertical stripes to start from the hemline of a garment. Then, from a simple graph, learn to step the colors across the knitting. Additionally, since Intarisa is about color, Jane will explain her approach to color from the main colors to highlight colors and proportions.
