Description
This class will focus on skills used to develop simple yet unique garments following the Asian design aesthetic of simplicity, layering and design detail. Students will begin by studying Japanese design (past and present) and then move on to develop several garments for themselves using their personal body proportions. They will build a mini mood board, and create three garments/patterns with a rectangular foundation. Then, they will learn how to add to this foundation through use of space-planning, additional details, creative fabric/knit decisions, and more.
