Knit a Top-down Sweater

From setting up your cast-on and creating the top yoke to armhole split and traveling to the hem you’ll creating a small top-down sweater and practice the elements for creating an adult version for yourself.
Class sessions will be recorded and remain accessible online to registered students of the class for 14 days following the event.
Learn the basic techniques for knitting from the top down. We’ll jump right in and start working on a small sweater that might fit a 1-year-old or Teddy Bear, but it will cover all the elements that you need to know to make one for yourself.
Barry will talk about variations, different techniques, and ways to knit a top down sweater or poncho. He will cover various increases, yarn selection, a bit of math, and so much more. Once class is over, you will have an understanding of the constructions to complete the sample so you can work a top-down sweater from scratch using YOUR measurements.
Special skills or knowledge needed to take this class: Basic cast on skills and knowledge of knit/purl. Supply List
__About 500 yds of DK-weight or heavier yarn (If you feel like experimenting and adding stripes then have additional yarn(s) of matching gauge available.)

__Knitting Basics: Sharp scissors, Notebook, Pen or pencil with eraser, Tapestry needles (large and small), Tape measure, Small calculator, Needles and crochet hooks of various sizes
