Structured Sashiko: Drafting Your Pattern
With Carol Ziogas
Aug 7, 4:00-6:00pm CDT
Want to learn how to draft and apply complex sashiko patterns to your own projects? We’ll cover the basics including tools, materials, and a little bit of math to get you on the right track.
Class sessions will be recorded and remain accessible online to registered students of the class for 14 days following the event.
Sashiko designs range from straight, continuous lines to complex, layered, geometric images. Plotting your design before stitching is key, and transferring your design onto fabric can be tricky. In this class we’ll cover materials, tools, and techniques to get you grounded in the basics and on your way to making beautiful sashiko projects using the included templates or your own creations.
