Learn to work basic Latvian braids and try multiple variations using the technique.

In this workshop, you’ll learn to create Latvian braids—distinctive twisted bands of stitches—and multiple variations: braids with long floats, clumps of braids, multiple-color braids, and dense layers of braids. You’ll leave the workshop with a host of techniques and inspiration for braiding!
Special skills or knowledge needed to take this class:
Students must know how to work in the round using a circular needle and be comfortable with simple stranded knitting (working with two colors per round).
__You can create a five-color or six-color cowl—no need to choose in advance of class! Just have at least 90 yards of each of 5 colors of worsted weight yarn. Feel free to use stash and mix and match bases.
__You’ll also need a 4.5mm/US 7 24-inch circular needle
Knitting Basics: Sharp scissors, Notebook, Pen or pencil with eraser, Stitch markers, Tapestry needles (large and small), Tape measure, Small calculator, Needles and crochet hooks of various sizes
