Let’s put your sergers to work! Join Jennifer to sew an easy-to-make and easy-to-wear tee or tunic. And if you’re new to garment sewing with your serger, this is the perfect way to get started.
In the first class we’ll start by taking a few quick body measurements to pick out the size you will work with then learn a few easy adjustments for a perfect fit. Using your adjusted pieces, Jenn will show you how to cut out the pieces and prep them for sewing.
In the second class you’ll rev up your serger and sew your top. If you joined Jenn for Break Your Serger Out of the Box, this will give you the perfect opportunity to put your new serger skills to work! After we sew the pieces together, Jenn will show you an easy neckline finish that’s done completely on the serger, the cover hem stitch to finish the hems (if your serger doesn’t have one, no worries, you’ll see how to get the same results with a twin needle on your sewing machine).
You’ll leave class with your custom top and the confidence to sew more. Discover the magic that happens when you create something that makes you feel good every time you wear it – as a layer over a tank or paired with leggings.
