Intarsia Crochet: All You Need to Know

Learn the ins and outs of Intarsia crochet, practice the technique, and learn to improvise colorwork patterns as you customize the Percador hat.
Class sessions will be recorded and remain accessible online to registered students of the class for 14 days following the event.
In this theoretical and practical workshop, you will learn the basics of Intarsia crochet. Sandra will teach you how to make color changes, keep your yarns tangle-free, create images with different angles, and integrate the technique using different crochet stitches. You will also learn how to organize your yarns and how to calculate the quantities needed for each color portion.
As part of the workshop, you will practice your new skills by learning to improvise intarsia colorwork on Sandra’s Pescador hat pattern.
Special skills or knowledge needed to take this class:
Must have basic crochet skills (chain, sc, dc, fasten off, etc).
• Worsted-weight yarn in a minimum of three colors for the class project (between 100 – 200 yds total)
• Scrap yarns in various colors to work sample and practice techniques
• Crochet Basics: Sharp scissors, Notebook, Pen or pencil with eraser, Stitch markers, Tapestry needles (large and small), Tape measure, Small calculator, Crochet hooks of various sizes
