Description

We’ll learn intarsia by knitting easily manageable squares. These swatch-sized blocks with curved-edge and straight-edge shapes allow you to learn technique and experiment with color. You’ll even have a chance to design your own squares. The squares can be joined to make a cowl, pillow cover, table runner, wall hanging, scarf, blanket — you name it!

How to knit and purl

Supply List
• US Size 2 (2.75mm) needles, any type, DPNs, circulars or straights.
• Fingering weight yarn, a solid for the background and several contrasting colors for the Intarsia work
NOTE: If you’d like to use a heavier-weight yarn, collect several colors of your chosen weight and appropriately sized needles (the size listed on the ball band for the yarn will be good).
