Description
This poncho is a feminine, light-weight knit inspired by the Guadalupe River that flows through the heart of Texas. It is beautifully appointed with panels of lace, cables embellished with beads, and a lace-up closure with tassels. As always, Alexandra is all about the details that finish her designs!
She will take you through the design elements, including her finishing techniques, as you work a single repeat of the lace panel. Although the wrap looks intricate, her step-by-step approach to bobble stitch and bead application with a crochet hook (no pre-stringing) makes them accessible. Don’t want to use beads? No worries, just knit the stitch.
After seeing samples worked in an array of fibers and colors, you’ll leave class ready and inspired to create this easy-to-wear knit for your warm-weather wardrobe.
