Description
Illusion knitting produces ‘hidden’ pictures in the finished item! It’s not complicated but can be tricky to get the hang of at first. Simple stripes become much more as you view the finished fabric from different directions. Join us as we learn the ins and outs of knitting with this ‘magic’ technique while creating a square washcloth – or a longer scarf.
Special skills or knowledge needed to take this class:
Knitting basics.
Supply List
• Worsted-weight yarn in 2 highly-contrasting colors (one as white or cream is ideal). A smooth, multi-ply yarn that has stitch definition is best
• Needles in slightly smaller than normal size to provide firmer tension
• Knitting Basics: Sharp scissors, Notebook, Pen or pencil with eraser, Stitch markers, Tapestry needles (large and small), Tape measure, Small calculator, Needles and crochet hooks of various sizes
No pre-class work required.
