Correcting Common Fit Challenges
With Katrina Walker
April 11, 1:00pm-3:00pm & 4:00pm-6:00pm CDT
Learn to correct the most common bodice fit challenges that face fashion sewists using simple methods that WORK.
Class sessions will be recorded and remain accessible online to registered students of the class for 7 days following the event.
Every garment sewist encounters fit challenges!
Broad or narrow backs, full or small busts, sway backs, forward shoulders, round backs — all of these are very common. Palmer/Pletsch-certified fit instructor Katrina Walker will teach you how to identify and adjust for all of these common challenges (and more!) using a systematic approach to fit that simply WORKS.
We will go through the fit process — step-by-step — using both detailed photos and a live demonstration. Students will try the pattern alterations themselves with hands-on practice using 1/2-scale patterns. Both darted and princess-seam bodice alterations will be taught and practiced in class.
There is an optional kit available for class — the online purchase and download contains detailed educational materials for the techniques learned in class.

__1/2″ clear tape
__Clear ruler (12” or smaller is fine)
__Pinnable surface: When practicing 1/2 scale samples for class, I use a piece of foam core (from office supply store) and with a glue stick, glue a piece of graph paper to it for a gridded work surface.
