Brioche Stitch Intarsia
With Xandy Peters
Oct 9, 10:00am-12:00pm CDT
Explore intarsia techniques in brioche stitch; it’s easier than intarsia in stockinette or garter stitch! Learn how to add color to a brioche stitch pattern and how shaping and stitch motifs affect the colorwork.
Class sessions will be recorded and remain accessible online to registered students of the class for 14 days following the event.
Brioche stitch and Intarsia colorwork are best friends.
In this class, we’ll review 2-color brioche stitch, then cast on a flat swatch. You will find it is easier to do intarsia with 2-color brioche than it is with stockinette or garter stitch! Using a combination of shaping and intarsia, students will knit a wavy color swatch.
In the second half of class, students will learn how to modify their swatches and how to add intarsia elements to existing brioche patterns.
