Kennita finds tapestry weaving a most creative textile process. This short introduction will get you started with solid technique and a minimum number of tools.
Class sessions will be recorded and remain accessible online to registered students of the class for 4 weeks following the event.

Description
Kennita will help you on your way to discovering the magical world of tapestry weaving where the possibilities are endless. We will build our own looms with artist stretcher bars, warp that loom, and learn a few simple techniques.
Get the foundation you need to create beautiful tapestry weavings! It’s the perfect textile medium to let your creativity soar!
A $30 kit is required for this class. Purchase your kit at https://www.kennitatully.com/shop/tapestry-101-kit-stitches-home.
The kit will include:
• Stretcher bars to make 10″ by 12″ weaving frame
• 12/9 cotton seine twine for warp
• Weft yarn (Brown Sheep Lanaloft or Lamb’s Pride Worsted)
• Craft sticks (for shed stick)
• Hair pick (for beater)
• Weaving needles.
Note: Due to time and shipping constraints, kits are not available to people living outside the United States.
