Description

Carson will help you learn to identify common knitter mistakes that slow you down, cause discomfort, and put you at risk for injury. Best of all, you’ll learn how to correct them!

Working in small groups under the watchful eye of the knitter who literally wrote the book on the ergonomics of knitting, you’ll receive direct feedback on your technique.

The class also covers how to identify ergonomic risk through chart analysis – from simple to complex so you can plan for and mitigate problems before you encounter them. You’ll learn basic ergonomic principles and ways to add movement to knitting to avoid stiffness and injuries caused by disuse, including walking while you knit.

This class is appropriate for students who are comfortable with basic knit and purl stitches.

A Most Essential Class!

I've been wanting to take a class from Carson for years and this one was worth the wait! I learned so much about keeping my body healthy and have already put much of it to use. Besides essential information for the whole class, Carson also gave us one-on-one guidance on how to improve our stitch formation to keep our most important tools (our hands) safe from damage for years to come. He also gave us tips and stretches to keep the rest of our bodies in prime knitting condition! Carson is passionate about sharing his Physical Therapy knowledge with us and we are the better for it.
