Exploring Tunisian Crochet Stitches

Toni is a great instructor, patient, knowledgeable, articulate, sharing, and very nice. I will take her classes again and again. Thanks for bringing her to Stitches.

I took both Tunesian crochet classes that Toni taught at Stitches and they were both amazing. I’ma huge fan of Toni and seeing her live just sealed the deal. Phenomenal teacher. I hope you bring her back again and again.

Toni is a wonderful instructor! She mixed demonstration with personalized instruction by going around the room and visiting each student after teaching a stitch. She adjusted her instruction to fit each student's needs and really meet us where we were during these personal check-ins. I left the class with a more technical understanding of Tunisian crochet and its applications. The pacing of the class was equally outstanding. I had enough time to really tinker with the stitches and get familiar with them, but not so long that I was bored or felt like I was waiting.

Toni went above and beyond the class description. We dove into six new stitches AND received hook reviews, practical advice for picking out an interchangeable set, a bonus pattern, tips on matching stitch and yarn, and pattern recommendations for each of the new stitches. It was a well rounded class that was fun, educational, and well worth the price (It was worth more than $90, in my opinion!)

I've had Tunisian classes before and love to use the technique, so I was not expecting to learn a whole lot. But since I follow Toni's blog and enjoy her videos, I thought it would be nice to attend one of her classes. I was pleasantly surprised and did end up learning a few new things. I particularly like her telling us the pros and cons of each stitch pattern and giving us hints about the various properties of each one.
