Description
We’ve all seen sitcoms and heard jokes that poke fun at ill-fitting and poorly-finished sweaters. There is no need for it!
Knowledge is power. In this lecture, Kristen helps you learn how to use all the tricks that designers use to create beautiful well-fitting garments. One of the best parts about knitting is that you can tailor-make clothing. You will see how to work with patterns, stitch and row gauge, short rows, measurements, working in ease, and the math — elements to help you take a pattern and make it work for you and your body type. There just might be an emphasis on Nordic color-work (because that’s her thing) but she covers cables, lace, and other stitch patterns. It is about how to puzzle out all the details and adjust patterns to fit.
Knits should also be beautiful on the inside. Kristen’s tips for finishing will help you turn your knits into heirlooms and offer tools to take charge of your results — raising the bar on fit and finish.
