An in-person class with Lisa Myers Nov 11, 2:00-5:00pm PST Every knitter should own a crochet hook — and know how to use it! From fixing dropped stitches to assembly, embellishment, and weaving in ends, there are so many ways that simple crochet techniques can improve your knitting.
An in-person class with Lisa Myers Nov 12, 2:00pm-5:00pm PST Double-knit fabric is reversible and very cool. Learn to work it with the knit side of stockinette showing on both sides, in a pattern that reverses colors on the two sides. The double thickness provides non-curling edges, and the color changes are trapped between the layers.
About Lisa R. Myers
After almost 20 years as an LYS owner, Lisa is now the US distributor of Manos del Uruguay yarns, which is a great gig but doesn’t offer nearly as much teaching opportunity as she’d like. Author of The Joy of Knitting and The Joy of Knitting Companion and co-author of Knit So Fine, she has published designs through various national magazines and yarn companies. She lives in Philadelphia, travels the country promoting Manos yarns, and leads trips to Uruguay for knitters to meet the Manos artisans and see how the yarns are made.
