About Megan Kreiner
Megan Kreiner grew up in in Garden City, New York, in a household where art and art projects were a daily part of life and learned to knit at an early age from her grandmother, aunt, and mother. As of 2012, her whimsical and unique toy designs from her MK Crochet and Knits pattern lines have been published and featured in over a dozen books as well as various crochet and knitting magazines. In addition to her extensive work as a pattern designer and author, Megan is an animator and artist within the feature animation industry in Los Angeles, California, and has worked at various, world-renowned studios such as Sony Pictures Imageworks, DreamWorks Animation, and Walt Disney Animation Studios on films such as How to Train your Dragon, Trolls, Kung Fu Panda, Raya and the last Dragon, and Encanto. When not animating or designing toy patterns, Megan enjoys baking and decorating elaborate cakes and cookies, going to theme parks, sewing costumes for her kids, and boba tea.
