About Pepper Cory

A longtime quiltmaker, as a young woman Pepper started collecting antique quilts and trying to emulate their look. She began teaching quilting, then started designing stencils, and writing instructional books. Her quilting and home dec stencils are manufactured by Quilting Creations. Pepper teaches quilting all over the US and overseas and designs fabric lines for StudioE Fabrics. In 2002 she was the winner of the Jewel Pearce Patterson scholarship for quilt teachers and in 2003 curated an exhibition of her own and students’ work at the International Quilt Festival in Houston, TX. She is past-president of the International Quilt Association. She has a Craftsy class about scrap quilting, called Waste Not, Want Not, and a video, Learn to Hand Quilt, for Annies. Pepper and her husband Rod live in the coastal village of Beaufort, North Carolina, and enjoy life with their furry quilt-testers, Joey and Memo.
